The Magnificent Ayer’s Rock

Last year, I met a very good friend who offered me a vacation treat to Australia.  I barely knew about the background of this new friend but I grabbed the opportunity without thinking whether to go or not but I had a feeling he is a good man and that I can trust him. I took the chance, he sponsored me, I applied for a visa and after two weeks the visa was approved then I flew to Australia specifically to Adelaide, Southern Australia. One of our itineraries is to visit Ayer’s Rock.

Ayer’s Rock or ULURU is a gigantic hunk of stonework and a real megalith. It is one of the most impressive landmarks of Australia and located in the southern part of the Northern Territory in central Australia.

Ayer’s Rock is surely one of the must visit destinations in the world.  It highlights spectacular Aboriginal Rock Sculpture sites that can be seen on guided walks and tours around the base.  Discover it yourself and be amazed of its natural sights. Ayer’s Rock is noted for its changing color at different times of the day particularly when it sheens red at dawn and sunset.

The  Irawan Eco Park Adventure

As we toured around Puerto Princesa just riding a tricycle, my attention was caught by a small piece of paper pasted in front of us… it’s a sort of flyer… saying “Visit Irawan Park”.  We found out that  Irawan Eco Park is located south of  Puerto Princesa.  It is a 3,000 hectares Flora and Fauna Protected Area which form part of the Irawan Watershed.

We explored the place (me and my friends).  We didn’t have any tour guide; we just hired a van, went there and roamed around the place.  The place is worth exploring and we really did not missed any chance of trying their breath taking Zipline (1.3 km long) and of course……

Home Grown Mangosteen

mangosteen

Mangosteen is a tropical fruit that is predominantly grown in hot, muggy climate.  It has the size of a small peach or apple and its color is dark lpurple.

To eat a mangosteen, you have to press it strongly or wring it until it breaks apart seeing the soft opaque white fruit which looks like the head of a garlic. The fruit tastes somewhat sweet and acerbic.

Mangosteen  has been used for therapeutic purposes from generations to generations. According to legend, the skin of a mangosteen was used to make a tea for illness like diarrhea, infections of the bladder  and gonorrhea.  Nowadays, it  has been found that the skin peel of a mangosteen contains  compounds like alpha-mangostin, beta-mangostin, garcinone B, and garcinone E, which are mutually called xanthones.

Health practitioners, who have experienced the benefits of this fruit in their own lives and in their patients’, have these to say:

“Mangostee provides powerful support for every organ system in the human body. This fact is being confirmed on a daily basis by clinical experience… I am convinced that Mangosteen will, without a doubt, be the most successful food supplement ever.” .. by  J. Frederic Templeman, M.D., a primary care physician for more States and Canada.than 20 years and board certified in both the United

“Mangosteen is able to reverse most of the ailments of modern man.” by  Kenneth J. Finsand, M.D., a practicing chiropractic physician for nearly 30 years who specialized in functional medicine throughout his medical career.

“Mangosteen provides huge health benefits for every organ in our bodies.”– Sam Walters, N.M.D., a family practitioner trained as a specialist in both traditional and natural medicine, with more than 30 years of comprehensive practical experience in the medical profession, and formulated nutritional products for companies and institutions including the NASA Space Center for the austronauts.

Mangosteen contains more than 40 biologically-active, natural chemical compounds  called Xanthones.  With these, Mangosteen provides an essential medicine box of native healing compounds that answer an expansive variety of health problems.
